    W3C validation anyone check theirs?

For those who don't know which i'm sure are a few or maybe even most heres the way to make sure your html pages will been seen correctly on all browsers it's called HTML 4.01 HTML Validation heres some ex of what Netscape will have problems with and some newer versions of Internet Explorer

will use adult.com as a domain as our test rat

heres what you get and this is a public service
    W3C's Validation of Adult.com

as you can see most site will not validate for the simple fact of the value (height="?") being used on tables, and the value (background="image")

If you want to learn more about this goto W3C.org

if you would like to have your site validated and not sure how hit me up on ICQ and i can get your site to validate and be error free

I did that on one of my sites a long time ago.. Some pretty indepth details about the various cross browser problems. I find it easier just to make sure my site works in all browsers.

i checked my sites with w3c. I saw some people put their shit banners on their sites... that's stupid. who cares that their site was w3c validated? they must do it to ensure that it works correctly, that's not a reason to be proud of.

stupid????? is it stupid that 80% of the sites on the net that are adult sites can't show up right in netscape or even older versions of IE and the next version of IE? or is it stupid that tables break and your site may look good to you on your computer but looks like shit on someone elses??

i know my company is taking full effect of this validation and will going thru every page we have and correcting what doesn't validate!

I agree, i doubt the average surfer gives a flying fuck about w3 standards and probably doesn't want to know about it! I think a lot more of the resource sites should be linking to w3 though. The more people that recognize HTML standards, the better.

the main thing with the average surfer is if they can't see it then why are they there? hints why the ALT tag is there which still most sites don't use it all fits in the to a thin red line of do it or don't

This one is a lot more useful, IMO. Just make sure you get a "perfect" rating, and you know your site will do. (it also checks spelling, meta tags, broken links and load time, aside from html syntax)

And no, the surfer doesn't give a flying fuck about W3C standards, as long as he can see the page in whatever browser he's using.
