    Something to think about...

    Google, YouTube and the other tube sites claim immunity to copyright infringement lawsuits because their content posting services are "automatic" and "passive", without editing or filtering out content unless they receive takedown notices after the content is posted. But if a tube site is "actively" filtering out content for one of their sponsors, then they are no longer protected as an "Internet service provider" under DMCA and therefore subject to prosecution for copyright infringement just like anyone else who hosts pirated content on their web servers. If Google and YouTube really wanted to remove copyrighted content, all they would have to do is hire one full-time person to search everyday and remove obvious pirated content (new or recent Hollywood movies, TV shows, etc). But they don't because they would then no longer be protected by DMCA. Maybe a lawyer can confirm the truth of what I'm saying here.

            But YouTube actively do remove copyrighted content - many has been the time that I've added a music video to my favourites list only for it to say "Video has been removed" a few weeks later, which must surely mean YouTube are no longer protected under the DMCA according to your logic?

I guess you just skipped over where I said " i have no problem with cross sales" and that " for a company that claims to be the most surfer friendly out there I don't see how someone can make that statement and then do a PRE CHECKED cross sale on their signup page".


                        you understand ? i know people do cross sales, it just that most of the ones doing it don't claim to be the most surfer friendly site on the net and claim to put the surfer first.

                                    If its such a great deal to the surfer why precheck it? Amazon tries to cross sell me all the time. Its not prechecked and sometimes I click passed it and sometimes I buy it. This is just a question

                                        Hi Tony. As you probably know we stayed away from cross sells for the longest time. 2007 was our first venture into the cross sale market. We started on a very small scale. We paid close attention to customer response from it. We tried both checked and unchecked. After all our tests we found no increase in customer complaints.

                                        Adding cross sales was a very tough move for me because of my personal perception of how surfers/members felt about cross sales. It looks like I was wrong about cross sales because they haven't caused an increase in member complaints.

                                        I believe one of our company strengths is the way we handle our customer service. We have a 100% money back guarantee policy. We also make sure that any member that has any issues has those issues resolved and is happy afterwards. Often times if our support staff has to go back and forth with a member more than once we will give the member 1 free month membership to another site of ours SexTube. We do that because we understand the aggravation that comes from having problems with a site. We do our absolute best so that at the end of the day every member is happy.

                                            Would they complain to you or to brazzers? I fell for a pre checked cross sale once on vista print,I totally missed it when buying some new business cards. It was a nightmare to get a credit from the cross sell company. I didnt complain to vista print I just never went back again. Just something to think about.

                                                That is another thing that we took seriously. Any company we would cross sell to would have to have a very good members area as well as a customer service policy that resembled ours. Brazzers has both.

                                                Also, our customer support reps are in touch with each other. We make sure the customers are happy customers. We haven't had a single customer have the experience you had.

                                                    I have no problem using prechecked cross sales, but I don't think it is a benefit to surfers I don't care what some of them may have said in your site. It's one thing to offer it to them, it's another to precheck it. Again, I would use it, but i, and the majority know, it just a way to try to slip in another sale on them and hope they forget to cancel. Not a benefit to them, but to the site owner.

                                                            why not do this, why not ask POTENTIAL members what they think on the signup page by asking " would you like to also try a 3 day pass to Brazzers for $1.95, if so click yes here". That is the surfer friendly thing to do and you guys know this. no way you can try to spin this. but you will.

                                                                ok shap, i promise i will leave you be. It all comes down to money bottom line. Just strange to see someone who came across as being a "good guy" and doing the right things all these years, and who has complained about "bad" things no goes at length to justify why he uses a prechecked cross sale and why it is ok to do business with thieves. it all comes down to money, everything else is you trying to make your decissions sit better in your own head so you can sleep better at night .

                                                                So whats next, justifcation that zango really doesnt hurt other webmasters?

                                                                    We do however put the earnings from the cross sales to a positive use. We invest 100% of the proceeds from the cross sales back to member's area content.

                                                                                                                                            If you want to place your videos on megarotic and redtube and youporn and have them as an affiliate that's entirely up to you. I don't care what you do with your content or your program. That's your business. If you want to steal my content and use it for personal gain that's an entirely different story.

Shap should be the one apologizing for that not me, I didn't do business with them. BTW I know it is hard for you to comprhend some things, you know like you thinking that sending webmaster referrals = a pyramid scheme, but when a site makes money off of stolen content they are theives. They allow people to steal content and put it on their site and they profit from it, they are thieves.

                                                                                                                                                        Brazzers is all over pages where people can view your full length scenes and the person providing this service is making it's money off brazzers, and from using your content for free.

He said that is a pyramid scheme and compared it to of all things... amway obviosly someone doesn't understand what a " webmaster referral " is.

How he pulls all of this out of his ass I don't know. The reality is I only worked with people who had existing sites or traffic. I promised poeople nothing except that I would help them. I did not help anyone generate traffic, I just help them convert better and provided them promos and tools to use, for free. Everythign 100&#37; free for them.

                                                                                                                                                                                    It's the choice I've decided to make. Unlike just about everybody else in this thread I deal with content theft everyday. I have been for the past 7 years. I spend a few million dollars a year on content. Through hard work and determination I've built the largest babe paysite online. I didn't get to where I am right now by accident. There are a lot of backseat drivers telling me how to run my business. Instead of wasting time telling me how to run my company I think most people could benefit from logging off GFY and analyzing their business and thinking about how they are going to manage their business in the coming months and years.

But, content theft is a huge issue. It makes no difference if you spend 2k a year or 2 millions. It comes down to fighting it, or profiting from it.

                                                                                                                                                                                                You profit from people who use your content to profit. You're in bed with people who have no problem with content theft.

                                                                                                                                                                                                I have a firm grasp on my business and where it can and will go. I do deal with content theft daily as well, and i've done a lot to fight it.

                                                                                                                                                                                                All I was saying is instead of giving in, if more people in a high position like yourself took a zero tolerance policy it could help a lot more.
