    Anyone know how to fix this problem with Firefox? (top secret site)

    If you have WMP11, Firefox doesn't play html resized WMV's like below.

    Anyone know how to fix? And don't say recode in Flash, that's obvious!

    And yes, this is a site that's not released to webmasters yet.

                              Yes to all three on this. I was having this problem before I installed the Firefox WMV plugin where it would just show the video with no nav bar, and it would generally be resized incorrectly...

                                              Had this problem in a recent project I was working on.
                                              If you have no reason [IE, not using the WMP Controller / interface] - and it seems you don't in that context, simply try changing the classid to

                                              clsid:6BF52A52-394A-11D3-B153-00C04F79FAA6 [v7]
                                              or
                                              clsid:22D6F312-B0F6-11D0-94AB-0080C74C7E95 [v6.4]

                                              That should allow for stretching.

                                                              I only use FF to test my designs, so I opened the pages in FF and was prompted to install WMP11, but FF couldn't do it automatically.. kept failing. I needed to install manually.. got re directed to some open source site.. gave up.

                                                                  I emailed this error report in twice over six months ago and it still hasn't been fixed.


                                                                  I was checking out the Women of Playboy videos in the Playboy members
                                                                  area and wondered why they wouldn't play on the page.

                                                                  Seems the is an error in the active x code. They have microsoft.coam
                                                                  instead of microsoft.com

                                                                  Here is an example URL

                                                                  http://wop.playboy.com/members/view....=21&l=2112&s=9

                                                                  Here is the section of code with the error

                                                                  CODEBASE="http://activex.microsoft.coam/activex/controls/mplayer/en/nsmp2inf.cab#Version=6,4,7,620"

                                                                  I only got his error in Firefox so it probably only affects Firefox
                                                                  users and maybe those IE users who need to download the activex
                                                                  control but I thought you might want to pass it on to the programmers
                                                                  anyhow.

                                                                                                      I have the same problem as you. The vid is too big and being cut off. There is no control bar either. It looks great in IE.

                                                                                                      Are you running XP Media Center?

                                                                                                      Type about:plugins into your FF browser and see what WMP you are running.
