It is now official, norway is the best country in the world

Well atleast according to UN, their little organisation UNDP publish each year a report where they rank all the countries in the world based on income, education, life expectansy and more...

The top 5 for 2002 is:
1. Norway
2. Sweden
3. Canada
4. Belgium
5. Australia

You have to read the whole report to know what it really means. The UN released the report, and it's quite interesting, and it says how countries can improve their democracy. Of course being a "top rank" makes people feel all warm and fuzzy.

Oh, so basically what I was saying is if you are in the top 15-20 then there's no real difference. Sorry to say. It is the bottom 25% of countries that really show how bad of a situation they are in.

And not that this means Canada is going down hill, it just means Norway and Sweden are advancing faster with social welfare - Canada previously was ranked #1 in the world by the UN.
