My point is that unless you can prove that something doesn't exist then you do not know that it doesn't. Just saying that it doesn't exist isn't scientific proof, people 100 years ago said that the Coelacanth died out 65 million years ago, they said that it was a fact.
The big bang theory is a good example, scientists are in the main agreed that this is what happened at the start of the universe but they cannot prove it so it remains just that a theory.
