US NEWS: Clinton Nomination "Highly Unlikely"

Obama Camp Says Clinton Nomination "Highly Unlikely"

McClatchy reports Sen. Barack Obama "began campaigning as the front-runner" yesterday following his big wins on Tuesday, and his campaign manager, David Plouffe said it is "highly unlikely" that Hillary Clinton can win enough votes in the remaining states to win the nomination. Plouffe said Clinton would "have to win Ohio, Texas and virtually all other remaining primaries by roughly 2-to-1 margins over Obama. 'We see no evidence that that's going to happen,' he said." The Dallas Morning News adds that Plouffe told reporters yesterday, "Even the most creative math doesn't get" Clinton "back to even in terms of pledged delegates. ... We believed all along the pledged delegate leader would be the nominee of the party."

Come on..how could you squeeze Mccain in that sentence. He has been very vocal about ending internet freedom. Read once in a while will ya.
No doubt one may quote history to support any cause, as the devil quotes scripture.

It's unlikely either Clinton or Obama will get the needed 2025 delegates for nominatino. It looks like it will come down to superdelegates of which Obama has 157 and Clinton has 234. In total there are about 800 superdelegates. If they continue to favor Clinton, she may very well be nominated and leave Obama with a very sore ass.

Please you do realize that numbers are NOT set in stone. ALL 234 Clinton super deleagtes could very well switch to Obama or vise versa.

Anyways if Obama gets 60% of the vote in the rest of the race( seems possible considering what he has been doing lately ) all he needs is 300 of the 800 super delegates to go his way. We'll know more after March 4th.

                    Please enough of that crap.

Obama benefits by super delegates too. Kennedy is one, Kerry etc etc. if super delegates are so evil why would he even accpet them? are you even a member of the democratic party?

Clinton needs to get 70% of the vote in texas and Ohio to win and
                                that's not going to happen.

She's done and the press is just keeping this going for ratings !

20 years for two families to have the top spot is quite striking

yup I'm surprised the media hasn't made any allusions/mentions to our recent track record of families handing down power....just like an imperial dynasty

i thought the best thing in the world was Arnold in Cali...until i found out his puppet masters...the Kennedy family

Last night on O'reilly they were talking about this. Her camp as pretty much confirmed that is she doesn't win both Texas and Ohio that she will bow out. They went on to say that if it is a close race in those states and she loses one or both but by a slim margin she could go on. Since she has been around a long time she has relationships with these super delegates and no doubt dirt on others. She could also fight to get Florida reinstated and make promises to Edwards in exchange for his delegates. If she wants to get ugly and win, she probably could. The problem with doing that is that the party would probably alienate her and she would be on her own as she ran in the general election, plus she would look really desperate and bad.

So like many I think if she doesn't win big in Texas and Ohio she will gracefully step down.
