But it's not. The argument used is ALWAYS the rich paying less (of a rate) than poor (in terms of tax rate). It should not need to be pointed out because it's just that obvious.
Perhaps this is a fundamental problem, but I'm not worried. I'm certain that the richer people will always pay a lower effective rate than the poorer people because they have the means to. This is not a slam (pointing out the obvious), it's just the way it is.
