    whats is the best laptop for web designers???

    aside from apple notebooks, what is the best laptop for webdesigners?

    what do you guys use?
    I am an adult/mainstream web designer. Im Looking for a fulltime job.

      I really want a dell XPS 1530.

      They are half the price of the apple for a faster machine, and the dell complete care covers accidental damage without hassle.

      Laptops are never the best for design though, the lack of a real mouse kills it. and if you are using a real mouse with it most of the time a desktop would work better and for cheaper.

              The best laptop for most web designers is a 486 with a non-functional battery, and that crashes often, requiring a reformat weekly, and every month causing a fire so they lose their house and their family is injured and they just can't get it done..

              That said, the XPS1330 is still pretty sexy.

                  yeah definitely desktop is better than using a laptop but there are some instances that you have to go somewhere and bring your work with so you will really need to use a laptop.

                  it doesnt have to be expensive because its just for temporary use only.

                      Go with a desktop. If you insist on a laptop for JUST web design it doesn't need to be anything special.

                          The colors will look jacked. You might need to use an external monitor for design work.

                                  I bought a Vaio last year and it's performance was worse than my 6 year old desktop. I never use it for design anymore. It's only good for checking stats.

                                          I have an Acer Aspire 9420 and i'm pretty pleased with it. If you have a big budget they do even higher spec than this one, but for value for money I think the 9420 is the bizz! Great screen, fast processor, decent memory, etc etc
                                          Sig too old.

                                              i've been bustin out on my toshiba satellite a-150 for almost 2 years now, the touch pad is damn near worn through and she's still rockin...

                                                      I'd suggest you to go with a desktop.
                                                      I have some friends designers and they've used both desktops and laptops, but the best so far for them are Apple and Nec monitors
