Whether it's appearance is related to my post or just a coincidence I cannot say but finally it seems YourMembers have come up with a limited work around that sounds like it should be OK for me as my requirements are very basic. I just hope it works since if I had hair I would have torn it out long ago.
I'm not entirely sure why YM needs Zombaio to send back what package a user is on. That is entered into YM when a membership is created. I'm no software guru but I would have expected it to only need to know the payment was successful as it should know everything else already. No doubt there are other factors at work that are beyond me.
Apart from the Zombaio issue, YM seems to be a good package and capable of some very clever stuff. However, you need to be prepared to roll your sleeves up and get your hands dirty to really make it sing and dance. You can get basic membership flows set up for a small nominal fee but it seems you can't get much more custom work done by them. I was hoping to pay for some consultancy and further development but no luck. They did however suggest an ex-employee who works for himself now but I have held off due to the Zombaio problems.
Does anyone have experience of Zombaio's own membership system?
I'll report back on the success of the fix.
