You can buy 85% complete AR parts that come with the patterns so all you need is a drill press from harbor freight and you are good to go. You can legally make 1 unregistered gun a year as long as you don't sell it to anybody and it's just for you. YMMV as I'm not a firearms lawyer, please read the ATF guidelines.
