I never saw the trailor say it was documenting real historical accounts. Its a fucking movie, and it would be pretty boring if it had a bunch of cave men sitting around painting little figures on cave walls. Ever heard of fantasy? Stop trying to be a critic and enjoy a movie for what it is. looks decent enough to me.No doubt one may quote history to support any cause, as the devil quotes scripture.

We have to expect some mishmashing of the real timeline of the planet or you end up with a totally different movie.
Hell you could do a historically accurate movie around the time of the pyramids, or the aztecs, or whateever. However you then end up with more of a documentary and less of a action packed fantasy movie loosely based on history.
It isnt like history is constantly ignored and or just redone for the sake of the story or entertainment value. Even my damn history books in school were fucking wrong so why would I want my entertainment movie to be correct.
I also am glad they did not pull a Mel Gibson and I have to listen to some dead or unknown language while reading my way through a movie. I try to keep my subtitles limited to anime.Comment

Even though it's a fantasy flick I am also kinda annoyed by the dinosaurs and I think I spotted an "alien" in there as well.
If you're going to make a move about 12,000 years ago, you better make it a little bit more real. We just KNOW there weren't any dinosaurs back then.
Apart from that, it looks pretty cool.I live in your nightmares. I make you dream you're getting bumfucked by a razor blade only to wake up and find I gave your wife an enema and tube-fed you her shit.Comment

Actually, while both were certainly on the verge of extinction (and likely not as plentiful as the trailer depicts), they probably weren't extinct quite yet.
Dinosaurs were long gone, though... but, hell... there coulda been a species of large reptile or two around that has since gone extinct...
The earliest known pyramids didn't come around until about 4500 years ago.... so that's certainly jacked...
So, yeah... I'm gonna have issues with this movie, personally... and probably won't bother catching it on the big screen.-D.
