A Glorious Accident. You'd enjoy it. It's a long read but he goes into great detail trying to explain our existence and if we are an accident or not.
That said, how can a human possibly know anything about the grand scheme of things taking place within the universe? On a universal scale,
we know nothing and are nothing. As far as the universe is concerned, we are no more or less significant than bacteria growing on a piss ant turd, and if we all died within the next 5 minutes, "the universe wouldn't even notice," to quote Dr. Manhattan.
