Agree with mrwilson here...

I stick with static coding + JS, and only use "lean" PHP - and only where really needed.
Much less to worry about

(Not saying I'm into the Tube race, cuz I'm not - It's just nice to not have to worry about becoming a target of jealous dickwads etc.)

That's not true. If it were then every big site would be hacked since they
all use scripts.

Scripts are hacked because of coding "oversights".
Once the oversight is caught it is fixed.

Custom scripts are harder, bigger sites have one off custom scripts..

The scripts that seem to get exploited easy are ones that are available to the public.
Ones that either cost a small fee or those that are freeware, scripts such as wordpress, smf, mybb.
Just search google.

If I remember correctly he claimed that there is an exploit in ffmpeg library which most of the tube sites use... so ANY site that lets users upload clips and uses ffmpeg library could be vulnerable... assuming of course his claim that there is a security hole in ffmpeg is actually accurate...
