For me it's simply about being able to out-accelerate, out-brake, out-corner and simply out-drive 999 / 1000 cars on the road. It's purely about safety and efficiency. It's about being able to get away from stupid people creating stupid situations.

Driving my old Civic basically meant just having to go with the flow, and hoping something didn't happen to me that would require extreme handling abilities. That car just couldn't handle what I wanted to dish. I was going through brakes like crazy. With the brakes I have now (14" rotors on all 4 corners)... my eyeballs will pop out of my head well before I warp my rotors.

The guy who can go faster than me... I am not worried about. That's the guy who (probably) knows what he's doing.
