What he said! Kaspersky is good as well, also MSE is fine for the most part.

Was using Kaspersky for years and was good, moved to windows 8 pretty early after release and they weren't 100% compatible yet so I switched to BitDefender Total Security 2013. They gave me 3 licenses to give away about a month ago as half of my business is mainstream, should have asked about a month ago could of gave ya the shit for free, so I agree with the others BitDefender is good shit.

I use either the free Avast or free AVG.Plus I scan with the free malware bytes. I had a virus a while back that kept coming back. Malware bytes kept removing it then it returned after a reboot. It turned out it was a Root kit virus. AVG has A root kit scanner and removed it. Just thought I would throw that out there.

Used to use AVG and avast, now just use Microsoft Security Essentials as it seems to be good enough and alot less bloated, will ocassionally run Malwarebytes to be sure, have not had any problems.
