I didn't, that's a Grey Grouper not a Goliath (cousins) and it went in the fish box. But I have thrown many Goliaths back though. It's not worth the consequences like losing your boat or worse.

The Man is always watching.

I think they will take the Goliath off the endangered list soon. They are everywhere now. So maybe soon.

It's just about everything a man can do to get a 40lb grouper off the bottom. Most of the time people end up just cutting their line because they think they have snagged the bottom. That's about what it feels like.
