                          Sucky part about going over 100/100 is It's usually 150/10 or something or 200/20, I can get 200/20 here but I rather keep my 100/100 fiber. Will wait for 1000/100 coming this summer

                                      I have 80/20 - They seem to only use the fiber for the down and ADSL+ for the up. So I assume I will never get the fast uploads - It seems a strange way of doing it.

                                                              Received the email also. 150 is do-able, 200 is a maybe, depending your location I think.
                                                              But synchronous dsl would be the best imo.

                                                                  More capacity != faster speeds. "Speed" is relative to the distance your destination vs source is. Latency and jitter play part of this. Just because you have a bigger pipe doesn't mean its faster, just means you can cram more down it per second.

                                                                  "Throughput" is a solution to a max windosw size and latency, the formula

                                                                  TCP-Window-Size-in-bits / Latency-in-seconds = Bits-per-second-throughput


                                                                  In other words, if you want better "speed" regarldess of throughput adjust your TCP window size on your system.

                                                                                                                                                          Right now I have 80mbps/8mbps, but I will be switching soon to another provider with 50mbps/30mbps. Sure, it's 30mbps slower on download then my current connection, but 50mbps is fast enough for me plus I will have fast uploads so it all works out. and with the new 50/30 there will be no cap.
