I don't drink like I used to, that's for sure. I've settled down lately, mostly because I actually like my gf, so I'd rather spend time with her.
Never thought it would happen to me, but I actually grew up a little bit. Shit!

i don't drink. i never had a drinking problem or anything, but when i was younger i got a lot of partying out of my system. now i'm content never drinking again. i've even tried to have a couple of drinks here and there and i don't even finish them. just don't have it in me anymore.

i always laugh at people who claim they dont drink, but "will have one on the weekend or at a party."
Attend a party where everyone is drinking and not have one, then come claim you dont drink.

I drink.
I have not drank to get drunk for close a decade.
I'll enjoy one, or maybe two, Kilkenny (beers), or a glasses of (#2 - 4) German Riesling (wine).

Once a month I will go out to dinner and have a few beers. I rarely drink and never get "drunk". I also do not like hard alcohol. The taste really bothers me.Comment

Woooo, man!!! It's my choice.
I am not saying it is right or wrong for anybody else. I am merely saying the it's number I shoot for because anything higher (in %) tends to effect my athletic performance (ski mountaineering, 'cycling etc).
So what if I tend to like the sweeter drinks, which tend to be lower in alcohol. My personal preference, should not mean shit to anybody, other than me.Comment

I do not drink alcohol anymore. I was diagnosed with a genetic bleeding disorder, and drinking alcohol is like taking bloodthinners. I even get touched or a handshake when I have a drink and I am bruised for weeks. I don't really find it a loss at all though, I was never a big drinker in the first place.Comment

I used to drink like a maniac..last fall...I decided to make some changes in my life and am now sober...I used to joke about rehab being for quitters..etc...but it isnt so funny when it happens to you..Its a big reason why you havnt seen me at shows lately..still recovering...dont need the peer pressure etc,,maybe someday I can again be in a social setting and not feel pressure to imbibe

I have, at times in my life, drank like a fish.
Though where that saying comes from, I'm not sure.
Now my situation is such that I bought 6 bottles of wine after Thanksgiving, and I have 4 of them left. I enjoy the ritual of a glass of wine now and then, without the need to drink myself into a blackout.
The last man standing for me in terms of ingestible addictions is caffeine. I don't drink coffee, but do get testy when deprived of my Diet Dr. Pepper.~

Maybe twice a year I buy a 12 pack of labatt blue. Usually after about 6 of them, they're so old they taste like they were filtered through an old gym sock, so I'm not sure that counts.

A drank heavily from age 15 up to 31 when I was arrested for the 4th time. I passed the field sobriety tests --barely -- but ended up blowing over .33 on the official applause meter. When I checked myself into a treatment center 2 days later I started 4 days of helacious DT's. I spent a month at the in-patient facility and have not had a drink since. February 22 will be 9 years sober.
I think I drank my lifetime quota in less than 16 years. No more for this alcoholic!ChadKnowsLawComment

I get sufficiently plastered at least 1 time each year. I'm also a big fan of some frozen melon drink at Applebee's...but it's more like a smoothie than it is a hard drink.Comment
