Buy a bigger pleco.. if a pleco is big enough it will fuck up any fish that tries to fuck with it. I had one happily living with my pirhanas for several years.

he was cool with them for months now... and right about their same size. I'm getting rid of the cichlids, they are way too aggressive but hell, my next choice would be figure 8 puffers so their really wouldn't be too much difference... they're mean lil fuckers too.
KMR... this is a 20 gallon tall, way too small for an oscar.

before adding new fish in your tank did you ever tried get some info how friendly they'll be with others?
i like cichlids - they r smart...
my friends been a great help, he is pretty well versed. On his reccomendation, I got rid of all my other fish to take these two cichlids. The leopard pleco shoulda been fine with them but yeah they just up and fucked him up, all i found was a part of bling bling's tail this morning.

If you want advice on fish dude, you have my icq ;) I used to breed Firemouth cichlids, zebrafish, jack dempseys, redbelly pirhanas, all different kinds of freshwaters... I can help you out. And yes, cichilds are agressive.
Trick is to put htem with something a) not in the cichlid family and b) not shaped like they are.
Chicadas are the only known fish that get pissed off at you...No lie They would pick up a pebble with there mouth and spit it at the top of the fish tank....I worked in wal-mart dept# 8 "PETS" I Trained my chicadas to come to me and eat out of my hand...btw lhey love blood worms

Too small for cichlids too..they get more agressive the smaller the tank..they like lots of territorry.. I had one firemouth who would harass anything...my mystery snails, my weather loach, my panda catfish, my upside-down catfish, my frogs.. anything if they came near his turf.. Put him in a bigger tank and it wasn't an issue anymore.

Yes they do Although loaches are pretty smart too.. every loach I ever had knew when I was coming..but none of them came nearly as close in smarts as my pirhanas.
