"Hulk" Pirate faces Three Years Prison and $250,000 Fine
Kerry Gonzalez of Hamilton, New Jersey has pleaded guilty to pirating an advance "work print" of Universal's new movie "Hulk". Gonzalez obtained a copy of the movie from a friend working for an advertising company attached to the new movie.
Gonzalez then copied the movie to his home computer and removed embedded protections before distributing copies in a Internet chat room dedicated to bootleg movie trading.
Gonzalez now faces a maximum of three years jail, and up to $250,000 in fines at his September 26th sentencing hearing. The charges were laid after Gonzalez was identified by the FBI?s Computer Hacking and Intellectual Property Squad.
