What you are talking about is Land Ice. Land ice has accumulated for a long time on the land, not the ocean, of Antarctica via falling snow. You can think of it as stored ocean water that fell as precipitation.
Sea ice in Antarctica grows during winter melts during the summer. This is different from Arctic sea ice which lasts all year. When Arctic sea ice melts, more sunlight is absorbed by the oceans, causing them to warm up. See

I agree with you, but from my point if view, it is the Koch brothers, big oil, and republicans that seem hell-bent on world control, and they're willing to destroy the planet to get that control.
