Most I ever spent on a stage alone was around $6k for a show that the promoter had to cancel on the day of the show - I never even got to see the finished stage (I had to absorb the price of several hotel rooms and flights as well).
For the 2008 Exotic Erotic Ball in San Francisco, I spent nearly $20k altogether, but that included a pretty big stage with sound/lights, 50+ models/performers, 22 hours of non-stop DJ's over 2 days, body painters, security, etc:
Most of my shows are a lot less expensive.
As for cross-sales, it's true that I have never used them, and from what I know of them and how they have been abused in this industry, I probably never will, plus I would never consider deceptive cross-sales. I'm just not that greedy/desperate for money, and I try to be honest and ethical in my business dealings.
As for never having an affiliate program, I do now (as of last Oct), however it is small and invite only. I'll be making some pretty big announcements about the next phase of my affiliate program shortly.
I've never portrayed myself as a big baller in this industry. Although I hire several contractors for my business, I am still essentially a one-person small company. My business can get way better, which is something that I spend most of my waking hours working on.
Finally, I'm an atheist, so I'm certainly not a god of anything - I am (web)master of my own domain though, and that's good enough for me.

None of them are arguing with the main point I made, which is that I do not think the posting about your mainstream biz on a porn board is always a good idea.
As to the facts about how/when Minte became CEO of his mainstream business, he chose to make it into an argument. I believe that I made my case, and that a fair-minded observer would conclude the same.
