Minte can correct me, but I clearly read that he worked for another company out of High School, became GM at his Dad's company in 1995 when his Dad retired (almost 30 years after the company was founded), and only became CEO of the family business when his Dad passed away (apparently other relatives are/were also execs in the family biz, which is what my inside joke about nepotism was about).

My approach might seem heavy handed, but I'm pretty sure I had my facts straight, whereas some of Minte's statements did not seem completely truthful to me based upon what I gleaned from public media reports.

As for the jealousy and hate "bait", some of you guys read way too much into things (or try to attribute your opinion as fact). I'm more humble than my board persona may sometimes suggest, and I'm not so materialistic, so I don't really get jealous about what other people have.

I've actually read a few of the press pieces about Minte's company, and it sounds like a totally legit and profitable company that is going employs a lot of people and makes Minte even wealthier in the process (you could say that he is making a mint). What is to be jealous about that?
