    What do you think about Clickme's new takeover?

    The announcement says: "Effective January 1st 2008 Click Me Media is now owned and operated by Off The Bounce, LLC."... everything nice and dandy so far but my stats went crazy: check this out (and we're talking about the second period)(high quality traffic, niched focused, mostly from US):
    Uniques (first/second/join)
    11877 / 950 / 2670
    and yes, you've guessed right, zero signups...
    Although they're adding up new content pretty fast, while promoting heavily, the conversions still dropped, what is the first thing that comes to your mind about this?

      No idea, I don't use them, but 0:2670 for joinpage hits is really bad.

              Cool explanation... but how can I prove it? They used to convert great until June last year... since than... the curve went hockey stick style, facing the wrong way.

                  Yes, it really sucks, you're right. It made a gap in my pocket, especially that I'm up-to-date with their content. That's why I was thinking it might have something to do with the takeover I've mentioned... or not, dunno yet. Clickme? any thoughts about it? James? are you still in charge or there's someone else to talk with?

                      Why bother with the reason.....if your sales drop below what you expect to
                      see it's time to move on......that's all that matters and it's all you can control
                      about it yourself

                          Good point but it's hard to throw away hundreds of already made thumbs spreaded over ~10 black/ebony/ethnic dedicated sites... plus the entry pages

                              I get what you're saying but leaving them there without a single dollar in return

                                  Look for a good search/replace tool and the amount of work isn't as much
                                  as it seems

                                  Don't forget to make backup safety copies before running recursive batch search/replace queries

                                      True. I think what you're saying is, by far, what I wanted to hear. Change is good everytime but now, if no one from Clickmemedia will come with a counter argument, I guess I should think deeper about this.

                                                  Fyi, here are the news, I've received a message from James which says:

                                                  "Received your icq message below. I have sent email to our programmer to double check your account.
                                                  Their was no take over of company, it was just a company name change, staff & management remain the same..
                                                  I will let you know shortly when I hear something back from programmer."

                                                  Also I've notified James about this thread.
