Anyone seen Velvet Revolver on the Libertad tour?

I am going to see them, but can't for the life of me find if there is an opening band or not, and if so who they are. lol

Anyone seen them on this tour? So far they have played a couple new york shows, one in chicago, and one in milwaukee.

Bex, let me tell you something, be prepared for one of the best shows you have ever seen!!!! I saw them with Alice in Chains, and to be totally honest, I went mainly because of Alice! Scott is an INSANE frontman! I really like STP but never got to see them live! I saw GnR a few times and they were great, but Scott blows jerkoff Axel away!! They do a few old GnR tunes, some STP, I can go on forever!!!! You will be blown away, trust me!!! hit me up after the show, I would love to hear your reply! Hoping u r getting to see them with Alice, the new singer is GREAT!!! Have fun!!!!!!!

Awesome, I can't wait!!! From what i have heard i can expect a little stp a little guns, likely a decent cover or 2, and some sweet VR. I am so pumped for this show. I love all 3 bands that this band represents, so it should be mint.

I am sure this show will be incredible. I saw STP years ago in South Florida and they were incredible. Top 5 for sure.

        1. U2
        2. Korn with White Zombie opening
        3. STP
        4. Coldplay
        5. Smashing Pumpkins when he didn't scream through his vocals

When I saw them, they did a very long set!!! they even did this cool thing in the middle of the show where they all came up front on chairs and did a sort of unplugged type jam!! matt sorrum played a small drum kit up front. it was really cool!!! you got me all pumped up now to go see them again!!!! have fun!!!!

music is all a personal preference and CANNOT be argued. If you happen to think Boy George makes the best music, nobody can argue that!!! Me personally, I love shit like Velvet Revolver, Alice in Chains, etc. Stuff that's got some ball!!!!!!!!!!!!

I used to work for Slash back in 2001 so I get passes. Saw them a couple times on the Contraband tour but I was busy and missed them last time they rolled through town.

                        Hey,

I'm friends and biz partners with Matt Sorum. I saw them ALOT on this tour and was lucky enough to travel with the band for a few weekends in Sept and Oct.

Alice in Chains opened the majority of the shows. I just saw them in Trenton on Dec 29th and the Sick Puppies opened for them.

They just hired the guys who do the sound set up for Alice and Chains after some people where telling them that the opening act was sounding better than theirs. The new set up ROCKS !!!! If you already saw them on this tour, try and see them again on the 2nd leg. The new sound setup is noticablely better.

There playing here in LA the first night of the Xbiz show. I'm going, let me know if anyone else is going and i'll try to take you backstage before the show to meet the band.

Just wanted to say that the show was amazing! Loved the whole experience. Everyone was as awesome as I had hoped they would be live ... Slash exceeded expectations if that is possible. And SW rocked! He was the surprise of the night, not sure what I was expecting, but I was blown away, incredibly powerful front man. They did older and newer VR songs, covered Pink Floyd, GNR and STP. Just awesome. I definitely will be seeing them again soon!
