brookemarks.com has been going strong for over a year and a half now; she just did a great "Anything But Clothes" camshow for members about an hour ago.
The computer voice at the end saying "Brooke Marks the Spot" is a reference to the NEDM joke at YTMND.com. Brooke is a ytmnd junkie, and so are quite a few of her regulars.
The same designer did both Brooke Marks and Dawson Miller. I think it's clear he leaned too heavily on the same font and camera cut outs when he did the work for both.
He was new at this back then, and was chewed out from all sides.

The artist owns the sole rights to duplicate/license any of their music, and even things such as the ESPN six note Sports Center lead in, the NBC 3-note xylophone station ID, and Apple and Microsoft single notes that play when their OS's start are all copyright protected (Trivia: Brian Eno created the Windows 95 start-up ambient sound on a Mac).

Let's see, as I recall Cadillac paid Led Zeppelin $100 million to use their music, and Bob Seger probably made a small mint from Chevy using his "Like A Rock" song in their commercials for the better part of 10 years.
Major lawsuits and settlements have resulted from people trying to alter songs slightly, so most people in commercial TV are smart enough to strike an agreement and pay licensing fees/royalties for using copyrighted music.

This is simply not true in this situation we have here in this thread. You can't even use 10 seconds legally.
You can't take 10 seconds clips of any artists' music and put in your porn trailers.
If you owned a music review site yes you could get by with it, but not a porn site. (doh)
