          So lets sum up here:

          1. Saddam had no WMD and was no threat to anyone.
          2. Bush lied about 'evidence' that Saddam had WMD.
          3. Bush lied about pursuing all diplomatic and inspection paths to their end.

          In the end, it really was all about oil.

              That's one way to look at it ... or, what really happened:

              Bush (via the CIA) said there was WMD.
              Then, Inspectors found no WMD.
              Saddam caught and interrogated, says he claimed he faked WMD.

              None of Bush's claims were made based on his interrogation (they were made long before), and was entirely based on faulty "intelligence" that had nothing to do with faked evidence, from Saddam or otherwise.

              So how does that get Bush off the hook?
              Plus, the decision to go into Iraq was made long before they "found" WMD. This was verified both by George Tenet and Bob Woodward's books on the subject. Clearly, the Bush administration was going to "find" WMD one way or another to support their policy to overthrow Saddam.

              So clearly, not one Liberal "wacko" has anything to apologize for. Bush and his Administration lied, period, and *none* of the reasons they went into Iraq were based on Saddam's faked WMD.

                      On a side note, Osama Bin Laden declined any responsability for 9/11, and no evidence has been found linking the events to him.

                      It's not the type of guy to decline responsability for his actions, unlike George Walker B.

                      Bin Laden is a wanted fugitive for terrorist bombings in 1998 in Africa.

                              Bush did lie.

                              Circumstances aside, he said they were there, and they weren't there.

                              It's really that simple, imho.

                              With the resources of this country at his disposal, I expect our Commander and Chief to know what the hell's really going on before he commits us to war. The lack of WMD's wasn't the only falsehood projected by his administration during those months he prepped us for invasion into Iraq, but it probably was the most blatantly false.

Every intell agency in every major country...and some not so major...all were in cosenus agreement about Iraq's search for and possesion of WMDs. The UN itself was in agreement. Not one single intell agency anywhere was in consensus disagreement. What all of you are calling lies were based upon the consensus intell provided by all of the intell agencies...ours and foreign.

                                                                                      Hmm...I am not now and have never been a member of any intel agency inlcuding when I was in the military...but I have been on the receiving end of bad intel. Anything is possible...now isn't it...but I seriously doubt that Russia and France among others would have toed the line and both intel agencys were in consensus agreement. I also doubt that the UN would have toed the line. FYI...there have been major intel failures in the past...multiple times... during multiple administrations.

                                                                                                  Personally, i dont think it was about wmds or oil. Bush is a rich kid riding on his daddy's legacy. He was born in a life of priviledge and 'family honor'. This was just a personal vendetta between the 'Bush' family and Saddam. Nothing more. If it was just oil we were worry about there are others ways to accomplish that. We did it with the Saudias and everyone else, just throw money at it. Saddam embarrased his father and tried to assassinate him. Now rich boy does what any rich boy would do. Throw money at it and have someone else (U.S. citizens) to do his dirty work.
