I think pre-approving affiliates is a good thing but requiring 5k hits to be sent is not wise. MANY affiliates can send only a few hundred hits BUT those hits can be highly-targeted so much more valuable than, say, a massive tube or TGP that may send 5k+ hits but the quality of the traffic is not as good.
