Steve Martin has done a lot for banjo music, and bluegrass in particular.
My dad was a dixieland banjo player, and I even played a little banjo when I was a kid, before falling in love with the guitar.
I try to keep an open mind when it comes to music (and things in general), and I feel my life has been made richer because of it.

Steve Martin was an accomplished banjo player way before SNL. He started out playing, juggling and telling jokes. The banjo was a staple of Martin's early 1970s stand-up career. He simply returned to the banjo later as his career could afford it.- *** -Comment
