For me it will be 2 years in March. I haven't looked back.Comment

Good for you. Just take it 1 day at a time
I quit 4 months and 4 days ago and I don't even think about cigarettes anymore.
I used a nicotine inhaler for about a month to begin with and then i put that down too. The inhaler made quitting a lot easier - not so much the nicotine itself, but more the fact that i had something to keep my hands busy.Comment

You dont need no shit to help you quit smoking... It's a decision.. You either want to quit or don't. You decide.. the nic fits? They come at about day 3
and last for about 15 minutes, if you can't fight something that attacks for about 15 minutes... Then you deserve to get whatever reason you are ttrying to quit for

Dr Oz spent the whole show yesterday talking about smoking addiction, some pretty fascinating stuff. http://www2.oprah.com/health/oz/prog...promocode=HP24"WTF, on google you can find the answer to every question in human history, EXCEPT how to convert cams..
Its crazy..."

Good luck, man.
Keep your eyes on the prize, and remember that every ounce of pain you put behind you is pain that was in vain and that you'll have to relive if you light up again... that concept helped me get through the tougher times.
I'm now 8 years cig-free.-D.

I know I am right.. I quit smoking 2 months ago
Just rip those fuckers up and stay away from the bar for 3 days
The coffee in the morning is kind of a bitch, and the endless time
that seems to go on during the day.. All that goes away.
Got a pack of smokes in front of me right now... It's like a paperweight
means nothing anymore.Delete this account, i am done hereComment

i just quit after smoking on and off for about 5 years...
honestly the only time I ever feel I "need" a cigarette is when I'm drinking. Nicotine compliments other drugs so much, it's part of what makes it so evil.
but stay strong man, after 10 days or so most of your cravings should have subsidedComment

Come on man, don't quit, You are not a quitter

Best of success to everyone quitting.
20 minutes after quitting: Your heart rate and blood pressure drops.
(Effect of Smoking on Arterial Stiffness and Pulse Pressure Amplification, Mahmud, A, Feely, J. 2003. Hypertension:41:183.)
12 hours after quitting: The carbon monoxide level in your blood drops to normal.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1988, p. 202)
2 weeks to 3 months after quitting: Your circulation improves and your lung function increases.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1990, pp.193, 194,196, 285, 323)
1 to 9 months after quitting: Coughing and shortness of breath decrease; cilia (tiny hair-like structures that move mucus out of the lungs) regain normal function in the lungs, increasing the ability to handle mucus, clean the lungs, and reduce the risk of infection.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1990, pp. 285-287, 304)
1 year after quitting: The excess risk of coronary heart disease is half that of a smoker's.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1990, p. vi)
5 years after quitting: Your stroke risk is reduced to that of a nonsmoker 5 to 15 years after quitting.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1990, p. vi)
10 years after quitting: The lung cancer death rate is about half that of a continuing smoker's. The risk of cancer of the mouth, throat, esophagus, bladder, cervix, and pancreas decrease.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1990, pp. vi, 131, 148, 152, 155, 164,166)
15 years after quitting: The risk of coronary heart disease is that of a non-smoker's.
(US Surgeon General's Report, 1990, p. vi)
A girl once told me "Give me 8 inches and make it HURT".
So, I fucked her twice and hit her with a brick.Comment
