They're called dermal anchors, not new at all. Not even the placement is new. People have been doing mohawks and horns with them for at least the last decade. In the past 5 years or so they've refined the jewelry and made it a lot easier for people to get them. A lot of girls are getting them between their boobs, on their cheeks, and pretty much any other placement you can think of. Surface piercing itself, has been around even longer than that.Comment
