I think you're crazy for actually going after seeing how much hype it got, you should have known it was gonna suck.

all the reviews i have read so far are either love it or hate it - a lot of people in between as well - I think as long as it's a fun movie experience it will sell a shitload of tickets

I loved it. Kept me on the edge of my seat the entire time. I'd wait in line for part 2 if they released it.

I thought it was GREAT! I was on the edge of my seat since the first explosion! I'm with Zango, I would wait in line in the rain, standing in a puddle up to my knees to see part 2.

I saw Blair Witch months before mainstream release at some hippie indy theater in denver and thought it was pretty good.

I was like 12 when Blair Witch came out and I went to the theater thinking that someone really did randomly discover these tapes in the woods and everything was on them was real... and then I left the movie and thankfully my cousin assured me that it was all fake, hahaha

So what you're saying is that people either love it, hate it, or think it's okay... gee, thanks for clarifying that.

Seriously though, I said back when that it was highly unlikely it could live up to the hype ... and whatever "it" is will probably disappoint most as well. As I'm not much into monster movies anyhow, I'll wait until it's on free tv in 2011.

It was awesome. Felt like I was watching something that was actually happening --- once I got past the disbelief that someone would keep filming as they're fighting for their life. Just a small quibble.

You really get too see the creature as well as you could hope for(especially in one crazy shot near the end), but I was kind of wishing I saw less of it. The best parts were when you were seeing it from a distance, with the camera shaking around. Some amazing special effects.

Im not a fan of the hand "unsteady" shooting, like The Kingdom. But still this does look interesting. Will see it when it comes out in Australia. :D

I really enjoyed it... it could have been a *bit* better but I was satisfied...

To the guy who said "rental".. no way dude, if you're going to watch it at all it needs to be right up front at the theater.

I thought it was great... pretty much exactly what I was expecting.

Though they did reveal a lot more about the monster than I thought they would.

My one problem with it...

bit of a spoiler...

is that nothing that's organic should be able to live up to the kind of punishment that thing did and still be unscarred/walking around. I thought that part was a bit unrealisitic... insofar as a movie about an 8-story tall Barrcuda-Smegal is realistic.
