    Switch the words swap meet to pawnshop and watch how the law suddenly changes. Tube sites are not swap meets. Tube sites hide behind a small loophole that if they can say "it is to hard for us to patrol what users upload" then you are not legally responsible for the time being of having the content up there on the first warning.

    I know people think this industry is just about keyboard warriors and threats. Personally I can give a rats ass about those thoughts. Laws will change, hope you are ready to evolve or die just as well. Specially if either your loophole vanishes or that if by some chance you are required by law to keep a verified list of everyone that uploads material to your site so that the rightful owners can go after the thieves.

        Our tube was one of the only ones that gave Webmasters the chance to send our traffics to their sponsors. So yeah I'm bitter.

        People look at us like we're the mother of the antichrist or something. Megarotic is just lauging their asses off, not willing to work with you. Call the office, tell me what you want to do, and for the most part its done.
        Want advertising? Done.
        Want to do VOD? Done.
        Want traffic? Done.
        Want no more of your content on our networks? Done.

        People here get all flustered about stolen content that they dont even know whats out there. Rapidshare (full length DVDs) Megaupload, and the other flavours of it. Megarotic steals your WHOLE MEMEBER SECTIONS and sells a membership. LOL But you're mad at me? Torrents, you cant even track the people for gods sake. Newsgroups, P2P. The list is huge. Your content is out there, stolen by your customers. What did you think was oging to happen?

        Question is what will you do, sit back and cry or take action. If you take action against me, then have fun with that. But if you civilly call me and say, no more of my content on your site, then its done. End of story. I have almost never gotten a call from most of your complaining about your content. Its just kinda funny. I sound bitter.

                                                        No offense, but it gives the impression that you were doing something wrong, and you're upset that you got caught doing it and had to make a change. Maybe you weren't large enough that you could afford to take the heat? I don't know. I'm not as familiar with the situation as some of the others here might be.

                                                        I wouldn't blame it on the people (sponsor) whose content was stolen. If you're going to run a Tube site you need to have some risk assessment I would guess, and this should at the very minimum include regularly policing your site against content from litigious companies.

                                                        I mean afterall, having Titan Media content on the site? That'd be someone to keep off the site.

When was the last time you were on your own website? Almost everyone of the most viewed videos are stolen commercial content. People come to your site to view the stolen content for free. Limit the size of the clips, nothing more than 2 minutes should be fine. You could also approve uploaders, surfers uploading full scenes from Bangbus are stealing it.

They are getting their traffic to stay. Their traffic is rising and rising. Now is this 100% free surfers or is it members traffic? Hard to tell because only the payment processors know for sure. It could be members going for VOD, PPV and trials instead of full memberships or just more sites sharing the same turn over. Payment processors know if revenue in the business is down, level or up. I don't know.
