In Canada, cops are setting up stings at fast food stops to bust drunk drivers

I have seen similar in the US where cops sit across the street and wait. Will be interesting to see if this catches on in the US.

It can't catch on in the US because the Taco Bell (or wherever) is private property. Thats why they will always sit across the street like you've seen.

Well, they already do that under the guise of "eating their lunch in the parking lot". Or they just happen to be driving through the parking lot. A lot of ways around it, but cops regularly stalk late night restraunts after they finish stalking the bars.

When I was working at 7-11 they used to work the late shift with us on the weekends to catch people trying to by booze for underage kids. Pretty funny seeing some cop sweep the floors and stock slurpee cups.

Man, you are all missing out on the late night mexican food experience.

Filibertos and Amados are two of the greasiest, nastiest mexican places in town and every night the drive thru's are loaded with people. It always hurts in the morning, but it's so worth it.

If anyone is in Phoenix ever, I highly suggest hitting up either of those after a long night of drinking.

I usually hit up the Amados on Alma School and Guad, but I've seen many a cop in that parking lot. Mostly because some douchebag kids who are a little too fast and furious hang out in the parking lot with their cars.

Hint; at three in the morning there are three types of drivers on the road.

1) Newspaper delivery people .....
2) Cops
3) Bar patrons on the way home.

Being gone long before last call is always a good idea.
