How many sponsors to promote?

I would promote as many as you can to give the surfer variaty or just try out different sponsors and see which one converts best for your traffic.
Clickthru is good for banner and text ads on blogs they are a teen niche and pay $0.05 per click. If you are looking for dating or cams then try Loaded Cash

I've had good luck building sites based around promoting one or two sponsors.

2-3-4 sponsors is ok for less traffic ... See sig for a good sponsor.

I recommend using Etology it has the best way to buy traffic and sell traffic.

The answer to your question is typically 2 or 3 but it can also depend on how much traffic you have. If your site has say more than 10,000 uniques per day, you can reasonably look into adding another 1 or 2.

The idea isn't to have a ton of them, just to have a few really quality ones. Pick your two favorite and send them traffic. Write down your stats .....

trafic sent per month
also track average per day
how much did you earn with them in a month
also track average daily earnings

and most importantly you take how much you earned per month divided by the amount of traffic you sent them in that month and you have how much you earned per visitor.

Any program where you earn below $.03 per visitor that you send them you need to seriously figure out why. Does your traffic suck? Do they suck?

This is extremely valuable data that you will use to determine the best type of program for you and your websites. Not every website is the same and that means that not every program will be as good for one guy as it is the next.

For example, in December of 2007 I was earning $.18 per unique visitor with Vivid cash. However I have very targeted specific vivid girl search engine traffic. So chances are, even though Vivid cash is a high quality program, you aren't going to earn what I did just based on the fact that we have very different types of sites.

i promote all the ones that look good. if i'd buy it, my surfers may consider it as well.

Make sure you include cams in the mix.

yeah i'd say 3-5 quality sponsors. Scout around and see which ones update content regularly and give you nice options.
