    Bah My Main Computer Just Crashed

    Either memory burnt out or hard drive.. apps just started error and closing out of the blue, reload crash, reload crash, reboot... Splat, did nothing
    now wont even boot :/

              Sucks, sorry to hear that man. A word of advice from someone who has had computers die on him in the past. If you have backups and are copying to a new drive make sure you don't let the drive get to hot or run it for too long. I've had really huge drives that I tried to consolidate to the 1.5 TB drives and ran one of the USB drives for 26 hours straight copying files and it died. Never had a problem with the drive before. It just died mid copying. Let it cool down and give it a break every now and then.

                Tip: if you use NT backup (bundled with XP) right clicking on the title bar will bring up the minimize/maximise/close options which pauses the backup.

                A full backup of my data takes in excess of 12 hours so I do this occasionally. I can walk away after the right click since the screen saver will trigger in 20 mins, "removing" the click dialog and resuming the backup.

                I should add that even though my drives work hard when they're backing up, they do have a 120mm fan directly in front of them.
