They did lump TV and music into it, but nothing specific. They generalized TV and music saying whatever percentage includes sexual content, but I felt like they focused on porn, gay porn in particular.

Again see statement about lack of a trade group to speak to the media and dispell certain prejudices. Remember just yesterday myspace and all but 1 state lumped the adult industry and child predators together and the most people really could say is damn my myspace page has been deleted.

Here is the thing...we all know that porn doesn't cause rape. I could easily make the argument that porn prevents it, as many sexually frustrated potential rapists will lose the urge after beating off watching porn, since they would be dangerous if they didn't have that outlet.

But there are stupid people out there that will decide that it is ok to commit a rape, just because they watched a porn video. They are probably related to the idiot that blew his face off with a shotgun listening to a Judas Priest song, just because he thought he heard the hidden message "do it".

If we think that it is ok profiting off a drug addicted skank in a porn video it would be hypocritical to fault a show like Law and Order SVU for attempting to draw in viewers with, and thereby profit off of, the beliefs of mainstream America that porn causes rape. There is always two sides to every story, and I don't blame them one bit...
