Your problem is consistently with authority. Maybe its chemical. Maybe your father beat you. Maybe you were abused in some other way. There is something there without question and it affects your ability to live a fulfilling life. You should stop at some point and start asking yourself "am i happy" and "why am i so paranoid" and start the process of healing yourself and finding happiness.
At the end of the day, if you are at war and you have a confirmed enemy combatant ANYWHERE, he's target. He's not a criminal. End of story. This nation treated terrorism like a criminal matter and many successful terrorist attacks, including 9/11 was the direct result.

Rather than you trying to be some sort of douchebag armchair psychiatrist and assume things about my life I think we should stay on topic, which is the government being allowed to detain or assassinate AMERICAN CITIZENS without a trial.
If you agree with something like this then you don't deserve to be an American.
Just because someone in the government "says" someone is a terrorist/criminal doesn't always mean that it's true. This is why we are supposed to have due process and people should be innocent until PROVEN guilty.
This is so fucking sad what's happening to our country, and it's even worse that so many people are okay with it...
