setting up a merchant account - suggestions

I want to set up a merchant account to sell non adult products. any suggestions? do i need to use a gateway like authorize net ? how much does it cost to get online merchant account, i don't need a terminal.

I may offer subscriptions too. some cross sales and might get some charge backs. anyone good to use that is ok with some charge backs for non adult subscriptions ?

first data is the largest merchant service provider in the US. or in the top 3 atleast... They are very big and very well knows. Most other people just resell for them..

not scamming. i will be selling products online but want to precheck the mofo's in for a subscription. i assume i will get some chargebacks, will that be a problem with firstdata ?

If you have a good relationship with your bank getting a merchant account isnt that hard even for adult.

Mine is for adult its through BofA and I use netbilling as the processor

No complaints at all....it cost me less than 100 bucks for the merchant account ansd Netbilling does a good job

no i did not, i am looking for non adult merchant account. i talked to firstdata and they offer me 2% and only 14.95 a month and i use their gateway. can you beat that ?

arent you a middle men ? i can deal with firstdata directly.

NETbilling probably will not beat that rate but will come close on the merchant account. However, we are not just a "middle man" we provide many services that they will not and work with many banks to get you the nest rates possible., Their gateway is nothing compared to what we offer. They offer no risk management tools, limited reporting and basic functionality. Do a demo of their gateway and then call use for a walkthrough. You will be blown away once you see the difference.
