CCBILL are you really this fucking cheap ?

LOL it cost more in electricity to send these emails that the 1 cent increase

Please be aware that recent U.S. Postal Service (USPS) rate increases are taking effect which will impact costs associated with mail delivery. This slight increase will be reflected starting with your next payment, beginning with any that are due to be sent and postmarked on or after February 4, 2013.

The USPS is increasing the delivery charge to $0.46 for all mailings within the United States, resulting in an increase of $0.01 applied to your transfer costs.

While even a slight increase like this can be unwelcome news,

This is funny. No harm meant in this post. I like ccbill

That's minimal, considering other companies have "check processing fees" and shit like that.

I would bet they send tens, if not hundreds, of thousands of checks each week. So betting that adds up...

Robert Crandall supposedly saved American Airlines $500,000 per year just by removing an olive from the salads they served during flights. As Quiet often mentioned, scale is what matters... and 1 cent X all those checks X all future years = much more money than it costs to pay someone to send out a form mail about it.

if they started eating all the usps increases years ago, it would have added up to a nice sum by now

and you guys would have gotten used to it by now, so if they ever went back to passing the exact rate over, you would raise hell

Not that it's a big deal but they don't pay first class rates of 45 or 46 cents if you notice it's actually some sort of cheaper bulk rate that they get. I'm sure it costs them some money to process things but then again their rates aren't exactly dirt cheap either. But whatever keep the checks coming and I'll be happy.

I don't get that either. Maybe it's because Direct Deposit is traditionally free so they know adding a fee for it would be a uphill battle so there's no incentive for them to do it. I wouldn't be surprised if they made something on the wire fees right now.

While even a slight increase like this can be unwelcome news,
CCBill raised the payout by check price by 1 percent, because the US Postal service raised their rate by 1 cent.

                                              http://about.usps.com/news/national-...2/pr12_114.htm

which you quoted in your post. What are you complaining about? If CCBill sends 10,000 checks per week, that is a $5200.00 increase in cost per year for them. Why should they have to absorb this cost?

Bank wires are the fastest and safest way to get your money, with emphasis on safe.

If CCBill had used EPassporte and Epassporte went out of business between the time CCBill sent you a payment, and you were supposed to receive it, who would be responsible? If it were a large amount, it would jeopardize your business not to receive it, plus the legal fees required to try to recover your funds might be crippling. CCBill would have fulfilled their obligation to send the money so the legal battle would be expensive and risky to say the least.

I changed the mailers with my dvd sales and saved 13K the first year. Not even counting the time I saved which is worth more to me. The ones that say it is only a penny..... yup it is, only hundreds of thousands of them
Make your girl swallow and not cum all over the sheets which will avoid having to change and wash them 3 times a day, big savings there too

Another payment method would be welcome to say the least - I just don't push CCBill sites, and there are a few I would like to promote.

OK - They wont miss my few dollars, but I wonder how of us are out there?

Nothing wrong with charging overhead costs to the client. Now if stats worked correctly, that would be cool.

I'm sure it costs them some money to process things but then again their rates aren't exactly dirt cheap either. But whatever keep the checks coming and I'll be happy.

I wouldn't be surprised if they made something on the wire fees right now.

They send out checks every week. If they absorbed the cost of the postage, then they might only send out checks every month. They don't charge for envelopes and the paper from the checks. I think charging for postage is reasonable considering other companies charge a couple of bucks or more to send a check.

Sending a huge sum like they do does make a difference. It adds up!

Some legal firms charge a fee to send an email (on top of the charge for whatever document it might contain). Some banks charge you when you pay your bills, etc. My point is, it is perfectly normal for companies to charge for other services outside of their own. Not cool, but normal.
