    Anyone Using Emailing for Adult as Primary Revenue Driver?

    I always believed adult email lists were not very effective but recently come across some things online that point out to the contrary. Does anyone here actually build adult lists and monetize them effectively? I mean above and beyond emails to users to let them know about new content etc....

    Also, does anyone clearly mark in the subject that adult content is contained in the email? I believe this is a legal requirement actually but not sure since I am not an adult emailer.

              So I guess nobody does any serious emailing other than site updates.... didn't even get any thoughts on this?...

                  I would not send them a mail with every update... odds are high they get irritated and unsubscribe the mailinglist! I would minimize sending emails and only sending to make them a good offer (reduced price for membership).

                      Lots of people use email to market. A LOT. The amount of email that goes out through YNOT Mail on a daily basis is staggering.

                          I am totally sure people are emailing but I know in mainstream there are tons of guys with like 250k-1mil+ emails doing big drops... does that exist in adult? I don't think I have ever seen or heard anyone talk about this...

                              I dont do it for adult, but it works killer for mainstream.

                              A ratio of 60% info and 40% sales on newsletters seems to work best.

                                      set up autoresponders, make sure its double optin and rigorously clean your list. biggest piece of advice i can give you is to provide something worthwhile, (like a full lenghth vid or promo clips) and not just link to a tour updates
