Well... About 2 1/2 small blocks south is the Days Inn or the Holiday Inn Express. Both without any PIMP status.
If you are looking for PIMP status there is the Renaissance which is a block east and a block north. You are still in the area and the Hollywood and Highland center can be walked through to make the trek diagonal. Like crossing the street almost.Comment

If you are looking for something in the $99 - $129 area you can do the Orchid Suites. It is tucked in behind the Renaissance and perhaps people will think you are actually staying at the Renaissance.... until you take them back to your room that is.
Right next door to the Orchid is the Hollywood Celebrity. Again $99 - $129 and both of these hotels are better than a Holiday Inn Express. Satellite Tv's and HIgh Speed Internet. Full Kitchen at the Celebrity.Comment
