I feel bad for the city of Sacramento. They did support the team even though they may well have the worst arena in the NBA.
From what i have read, the Maloof's bankroll was nuked during the financial crisis (due primarily to their ill-timed expansion of the Palms).

the prior article i read said something about 6 weeks to find a buyer to keep it in sacramento or something. i will try to find it. Banner thing makes sense. Since that actually is the same franchise.

As a long time Kings fan, this is a sad day for me. Sad but expected as the Maloof's have been trying to move the team for yrs now.
There's a lot more to the story than that. The Maloof's have really fucked over the city on many levels. I will be happy to see them out of the NBA, even if it means losing my team to another city.
If only Chris Webber hadn't sprung his ankle

I agree they should have been out of the NBA years ago.
