    What is industry standard for a photo shoot?

    How much should one person pay to have someone come in and take photos of the talent?

                  depends on the amount of time needed and the quality. $200-$500 for a 6 hour day would work. -bmb

                      Depends on how good the shooter is.

                      Most won't do anything for less than $400-$600.

                              You want quality lighting equipment, quality photography equipment, and color calibration / correction work. If someone does all of this for you then you do end up saving $$$ in the long run because you didn't have to buy all that equipment or do all that work to get the photos you want.

                              I'd advise that you to also shoot video simultaneously. Two birds one stone.

                                                          Shooter should get pretty close to what the talent gets. Good talent, pay a good photographer...bad talent, hire an amateur.

                                                              the question requires more details for a qualified answer. $2k is a lot, but some portrait photogs with big names are probably that high, generally adult shooters are less costly.
