PORNaffs.com... I have 3DSexParadise.com and 3DGay.com. Is the 3D niche dead? Is anyone still promoting it? What am I doing wrong? Thanks for any comments/advice...

With the economy (and porn industry) as fucked as it is, people probably don't want to spend their money on what's basically cartoons having sex. It's hard enough to make sales for an actual porn site.
As somewhat of an artist I have a lot of respect for those 3D sites, don't get me wrong. I just don't see them being big moneymakers anytime soon.Comment

With Pornhub and others giving away everyone's content for free (and with some sponsors helping it along by giving them content they won't give their affiliates) ratios have crashed on affiliates and many have left the industry. Combine that with rampant shaving and it has sent even more away. I have sponsors who did an acceptable 1:2,000 for the last couple years who suddenly started doing 1:9,000 in July and ever since (on MPA3). There is a certain dating sponsor who went from 1:1000 to over 1:4000 last April and now shaves at least 1/3 of my uniques based on my data. Then there is an even bigger dating sponsor who completely crashed around September for new joins and rebills. This kind of thing sends affiliates away and we get skeptical when new sponsors come along and decide it may not be worth the hassle trying to push you. You are doing one thing right at least. You are using CCBill which makes it less risky to try out a new site. I might give you a shot. You can't be any worse than 1/9000, right? ;)Last edited by signupdamnit; 01-19-2013, 01:04 PM.

The problem is they all say this. The other problem is affiliate tracking is never that great and you'll do much better than your average affiliate will for different reasons. When sponsors don't convert better than 1:2000 or somewhere thereabouts it soon gets to the point where the affiliate is just providing free branding. It barely covers the costs on some video sites. Just sharing my perspective here and answering your question. There is a good chance your site does better if you are keeping the content under lock and key.

I can't say why others haven't signed up but here are the reasons I didn't:
1) Your site (both of them) look like crap, almost like we've been transported back to the 80's or early 90's, I would highly suggest getting a 'real' designer to redevelop both your paysite and affiliate program site.
2) Your affiliate site tells me NOTHING about why I should be promoting you, how much do you offer, whats the minimum payout, how well does the site convert, average ratios, promo tools, what happens if i need to get in touch with you about something, etc...

Yes same here, only 1 every like 100 affiliate signups will send hits... but I think lots of them click here and there and signup and not even know what they're doing, it's not affiliates in first place.
Afew people signups on a month then start sent hits after 1-3 or even 6 months, however, it's just... like when I made an account in plugrush, deposit $$ there, and used it after like a year as I was lazy to read how it worked.Comment
