I'm arguing Stallone's is a better
adaptation, meaning they at least tried to keep some of the humour and satire from 2000 AD.
Dredd 2012 didn't have any of that. It's simply a cheap action film which just happens to have Judge Dredd as a character, keeping only the most superficial bits of the source material (omfg he didn't take the helmet off epic win)

The Raid: Redemption" put Judge helmets on its characters and BAM you got Dredd 2012, except it would have kick-ass action.
What I have against the movie is that they completely wasted Dredd.
They could have used any generic stoic character and it wouldn't have made ANY difference. Switch Dredd with John McClane from Die Hard, no difference at all.
