It's worth it if you get one from a top school, otherwise you are pretty much wasting your time and money since every manager and wannabe manager has a MBA now.

I've looked into it a couple times now. There are a lot of good programs out there if you are really interested. Check out the princeton review. I'm sure it's all about sponsors, so take it all with a grain of salt, but they'll send you emails all to often with different programs and schools. You just tell them what you interests you and where you are and they send you info.

That's absolutely correct. Unless your MBA is from a big school, it's not worth a shit.

My mother, has an MBA from a Canadian University, executive program. She's the CFO of a Multi Billion Dollar US company now.

There can always be exceptions to any rule. I know a handful of people that I went to school with on my undergrad who went and got MBA's from schools that weren't really on the map, and none of them have a job that even utilizes it. Shit, my job is better than theirs and I haven't gone back yet.

Basically, what I was saying is that if the person hiring hasn't heard of the school, it's not going to help. Rule of thumb I guess.

What's the point? even if you get it it means if you are lucky you will get a job working for some company for maybe 60 to 80k and at best 100-120k Thats almost poverty in todays world. IMHO.

It didn't advance my career (not talking about THIS career lol) but it did help me learn to think more critically and strategically.

I got my MBA online, did it all in like one night!

It was so easy I decided to get a PhD the next day.

Didn't cost me a fortune either, just $79/degree!
