I dont know either.
I do notice that especially for exact searches that match the forwarded domain it seems to choose the forwarded domain instead of the main one.
For example, if my main site is weirdpussy.com and I have reallyweirdpussy.com, if someone does a search for 'really weird pussy' then Google seems to take that exact search and choose my forwarded domain. (I don't have either of these domains)
I always thought that forwarded domains were not taken into consideration with G at all.
I have a lot of slogan type domains which are forwarded to my main sites and am noticing a lot more traffic lately, especially with the exact search match.
