This guy actually seems to have his shit together (when he puts his mind to it) but honestly, I've known him for close to 10 years now and I would say every years he ends up in jail at least twice, only for a few days to a week, for stupid shit.
The kicker, his family is in law enforcement, father, both brothers so I would have figured that he would try to 'behave' when it came to shit like this.

Sounds like he's most likely a functional alcoholic, meaning he can appear to have his shit together, but in private he's a mess. I'm guessing since he was sentenced to 9 months for a DUI, this most likely is at least his 3rd offense. Hopefully 9 months will help straighten out whatever his issues are.
