    Baseball Hall of Fame elects...

    NOBODY!

Looks like no one got enough votes to get in this year and several voters have stated that they returned blank ballots.

that's why the Baseball Hall of Fame is the best in sports - they don't let in every star, it's only for the all time greats.

There are a few guys on the ballot this year I would have voted for. As a lifelong Mariner fan I would have voted for Edgar Martinez who, for my money, is the best DH ever. I would have also voted for Mike Piazza.

Had Piazza ever been named in any steroid investigation? If not, I see absolutely no reason why he wouldn't get into the hall. He had one of the best if not THE best career of any catcher.

they'll get in eventually, when all the coots die off the new wave of writers will put them in in a cluster I'm sure.

I am completely against PED's myself but its safe to say at the time it was a level playing field...

There's was a fantasy wet dream on this year's ballot and the writers couldn't let in ONE? Absolutely retarded.

                        - Craig Biggio (a 2nd baseman with 3060 hits, 291hr, 1175rbi, 1844 runs and lifetime .281 )
                        - Mike Piazza (427 hrs, greatest hitting catcher in history, 12x all star, ROY. All being an underdog)
                        - Barry Bonds (all time and single season hr record holder, 7x MVP, in the top 5 of basically every hitting category there is. He was amazing before ever using and enhancements)
                        - Roger Clemens (354 wins, 3rd all time in strikeouts, 7x Cy Young Award winner. One of the most dominant pitchers ever. Same as Bonds ... amazing before any enhancements)
                        - Sammy Sosa (609 hrs, 60+ hr seasons 3x. Baseball needs to get down and suck his and McGwire's cocks day and night for making baseball interesting again for the masses)

The writers are full of shit if they couldn't at least elect Biggio and Piazza this year. And don't care what anyone thinks; Bonds, McGwire, Clemens and Palmeiro should all be in.

Check out some of those other names on the waiting list:

                        Mark McGwire
                        Larry Walker
                        Jeff Bagwell
                        Lee Smith
                        Tim Raines
                        Jack Morris
                        Edgar Martinez
                        Alan Trammell
                        Fred McGriff
                        Dale Murphy
                        Curt Schilling
                        Raphael Palmeiro

As far as I know Piazza was never named in any steroid investigations. He is probably the best hitting catcher ever and deserves to be in.

Yea I didn't think so either. Hell, as a 37 year old he had a nice year with us hitting .283 with 22 HRs. I'm 30 and would have a hell of a time squatting for a significant chunk of a 3+ hour period let alone everything else.

Yeah, I can't imagine the stress that squatting and catching puts on your body. It is no wonder most of those guys break down and don't have very long careers which is another reason Piazza was so incredible.

One of the best but not the best. Yogi Berra is without a doubt the best. 15 consecutive years with MVP nods. Thats insane. Bench gotta be in the argument too I suppose...
